A major focus of this page is to tell the stories of Cuban baseball players. More frequently though, Players I have personally had the good fortune to meet and capture photo and video of. One such player is Yoelqui Céspedes frequently spelled Yoelkis Céspedes in certain outlets. Yoelqui Céspedes signed with the White Sox in January of 2021 for $2.05 million. Unfortunately visa issues delayed his debut and he would have to wait to make his professional debut June 19th with the Advanced A Salem Dash. This was after initial projections had him starting at Double A with The Birmingham Barons. He would be promoted to the Barons on August 18th and proceed to slash .298/.340/.404 with 1 HR (video below) in 94 at bats.
