Matanzas vs Las Tunas Game 6 Live March 14th

The Matanzas Cocodrilos vs Las Tunas Leñadores Game 6 Live March 14th, 2021 at 2pm via Cubadugout. The momentum in this semi-final series has shifted. Matanzas once down two games to zero and almost three games to one is now one win away from advancing. Will they advance to face Granma or will Las Tunas force a game 7?

The Cocodrilos are now in the drivers seat. They started flat but are getting sharp at the right time. They appeared overmatched in dropping the first two games and were one incredible play away from being down three games to one. Eduardo Blanco was the hero in back to back games, as he drove in the lone run in game three and made the defensive play of the year in game four.

Game 5 saw Matanzas use their strength, veteran starting pitching and what feels formulaic. Yoennis Yera laboured early and surrendered early runs. He felt close to losing command of the game throughout, yet never broke and made it into the seventh inning. Ageless usual starters Jonder Martinez and Noelvis Entenza came out of the pen to preserve the win and take a 3 to 2 series lead. The Cocodrilos entered the playoffs as the prohibitive favourites to repeat as champions. They hope to retake that position and punch their ticket to the finals. The Granma Alazanes await the winner of the series and have been waiting for weeks. Granma won their semi-final series which occurred before the 1/4 Final series that allowed Las Tunas to advance. This scheduling quirk was a unique response to positive Covid-19 cases for the Santiago de Cuba Avispas.

Please note the new start time of 2pm. Due to daylight savings time the game has been pushed up an hour to maximized daylight. Watch Game 6 Live March 14th via http://cubadugout.com in HD via game time sport on YouTube.
