We will see a pitching rematch from Game 2 when Leandro Martinez (Granma) and Vladimir Baños (Pinar) duelled for 5 innings before the Vegueros pulled away late. The squad from Vinales scored multiple runs off of multiple relievers en route to a 13-3 Game 2 win. The teams have traded wins in which their starting pitchers have done their jobs but the bullpens have disappointed. Granma is hoping to advance to their third finals appearance in the past five years.

The beleaguered Pinar bullpen will be in tough. They lost game 2 winner Frank Medina due to hernia surgery. Best wishes to Frank for a speedy recovery. He is one of the top weapons in the Vegueros bullpen because of his deceptive delivery. Pinar’s pitching depth will be tested due to this loss.
