José Abreu Player Profile Via Cubadugout on Youtube

José Abreu Player Profile via YouTube. Get Inside the Dugout and follow the 2020 American League MVP from Cienfuegos to Chicago. The slugging first baseman from Cienfuegos, Cuba might not make the Hall of Fame. He also will not end up leading Cuban baseball players in any major counting stats. Many fans of Cuban baseball feel he might be the best hitter to come out of Cuba or is at least their favourite.

There is no Cubadugout without José Abreu. My fascination with Cuban baseball began with seeing a slugging first baseman for the Cienfuegos Elefantes. He stood out literally and figuratively and would soon be crushing baseballs in the Major Leagues. The 2010-2011 Cuban National Series MVP would risk his safety and escape Cuba under the cloak of darkness. The risk would be worth it and so would the $68 Million investment the CHICAGO WHITE SOX made in him.

When I photographed him in December of 2012 I didn’t realize I was shooting a future Major League MVP. Those photos opened up many doors within the Cuban baseball internet community and truly gave birth to Cubadugout. He has been a steady and professional for over half a decade in Chicago average close to 30 home runs and 100 RBI. Follow his path from Cienfuegos to Chicago via this José Abreu Player Profile. Abreu has also been a mentor to many Cuban players joining him in the Majors and Chicago since. Yoan Moncada, Luis Robert, Yoelqui Céspedes and Norge Vera to name a few.

I need your help to get to 1000 Youtube subscribers and the benefits that unlocks for independent content creators. Please subscribe, like, share and comment. Let me know where you think José Abreu fits in the pantheon of Cuban baseball players and sluggers of his generation.
